TruScan
Privacy

Your data & your rights

TruScan collects the minimum needed to run an accountable trust badge, never sells your data, and uses no third-party ad or tracking cookies. Everything below is a right you can exercise at any time — free — by emailing privacy@truscan.app or using the form here.

What you can do

Access

Get a copy of the data we hold about you.

Correct

Fix anything inaccurate.

Withdraw consent

Turn off any purpose you agreed to, one by one.

Delete

Erase your personal data (see what remains below).

Take it with you

Receive your data in a portable format.

Complain

To the CAI (Quebec) or your local privacy authority.

Request deletion

We verify every request by email before acting — this protects you from someone else deleting your account. We respond without undue delay (our internal target: 30 days).

What deletion removes — and what may remain

We remove your personal data: email, name, handle, KYC reference, any biometric template, and the personal details in your consent history. What may remain is de-identified: sourced verdicts about the public claims in videos you published stay in the append-only record, but with the link to you severed — no name, no account. This is the same thing you were told at sign-up. If you believe a specific public verdict should also be removed, tell us and we'll review it.

Full details, our sub-processors, retention periods, and the person responsible for privacy are in our privacy policy. Biometric features stay off until the required regulatory declaration is complete. Questions: privacy@truscan.app.
